Lesson\/Unit Summary: <\/strong>Students have learnt to use the present progressive to indicate actions happening at the moment of speaking. This lesson aims at building on students\u2019 prior knowledge and lets students practise using the present progressive to express future arrangements. Students have to work out the meaning expressed by the present progressive in a video shown (i.e. to indicate future plans). The teacher will then present an authentic schedule to demonstrate how to use the present progressive to indicate his\/her plan for the week. Pair work is designed to facilitate communication between students. Students in pairs will talk about their own schedules for the coming week. Their task is to find a free time to meet so that they can do an activity together. To make the learning close to students\u2019 daily lives, the follow-up activity requires students to send their friend a text message about their own plans for the weekend \/ the coming holiday.<\/span><\/span> <\/p>\n\n\n\n
