Students are guided to notice the use of pronouns to avoid repetitive use of subject nouns. Students have to name the corresponding Chinese pronouns, a way to increase their awareness of the similarities of Chinese and English. An error correction activity presented as a game (In and Out) is designed to check students’ understanding. Through the progressive process of noticing and practising, students will be able to learn how to use the English subject pronouns to achieve cohesion.

Level of Students: Junior Primary

Lesson Duration: 40 mins

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

1.
