It adopts the idea of language across the curriculum. It links the English language with integrated science. Students are expected to write a short description about the respiratory system as the final learning outcome.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Present tense and subject-verb agreement are some general features of informational texts. Two videos on interesting facts about body parts are used to arouse students\u2019 interest and draw their attention to the relationship between the subject and the verb. To help students complete the writing task on the respiratory system, another video is shown to build up students\u2019 subject knowledge.<\/span><\/span> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Catering for learning diversity is considered in the design of this lesson plan. For instance, in the card matching game, two sets of materials, one for stronger learners and one for weaker learners, are prepared.
