Lesson/Unit Summary: The lesson aims to develop students’ competence in the use of conditionals and examines the topic on parent-child relationship. In the process, we hope students are able to gain a deeper understanding about parental love.

Corpus-based exercises are included to encourage student discovery and autonomous learning.

At the end of this unit, students should be able to:

  1. Identify the form of Conditional Type 2 sentence;
  2. Use the Conditional Type 2 sentence to talk about imaginary situations;
  3. Distinguish Conditional Type 1 from Conditional Type 2;
  4. Show a deeper understanding of parental love.
