Lesson/Unit Summary: The lesson aims to develop students’ competence in the use of Wh-Questions and examines the topic on animal adoption. It is hoped that the lesson can help nurture students love of animals.
Corpus-based exercises are included to encourage student discovery and autonomous learning.
Level of Students: Junior Secondary
Lesson Duration: 80 minutes (2 lessons)
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this unit, students should be able to:
- Identify the correct wh-words, word order and verb phrase structure in wh-questions;
- Ask wh-questions to assess suitability for pet adoption;
- Show affection for animals.
