Lesson/Unit Summary:
In this unit, students learn about how to use when-clauses to describe the situations that cause different feelings. They will talk about some positive ways to overcome sadness. Students will learn different emotion words and produce an emotion book as the final output. Pronunciation activities are also included to help students pronounce the words with “ea” and “ee” correctly.
The lessons make use of different visual aids including PowerPoint slides and videos to cater for learner diversity. Listening, speaking, reading and writing skills are integrated in this unit.
Level of Students: Primary 3-4
Duration: 130 minutes
Learning Objectives:
At the end of the unit, students should be able to:
1. Use “when-clause” to describe the situations that cause different feelings; 2. Describe feelings using appropriate adjectives; 3. Recognize and pronounce words with “ea” and “ee”, and distinguish the long vowel /i:/ and the short vowel /ɪ/.
